Miss January Side by Side
Another side-by-side comparison of something drawn the same month but in different years. These are the portraits of Miss January for my fashion illustration calendar at www.idrawfashion.com
The latest illustrations does have that special something that makes me feel excited every time I look at it. Maybe by the beginning of next year she will have lost it though :)
Drawing fashion illustrations digitally is definitely something that makes me have a lot of fun. I can't wait to develop my skills further and really provide the quality I have in mind. So far I feel happy -it's only a few months since I bought my Sintiq and there is so much more to learn!

The beginning of my digital illustrations - first commisions
Here is a small compilation of the recent work that I have created for my lovely clients.
The process was more than fun - it's a bliss to learn a new skill.
As it was with markers and traditional media fashion illustrations now I rediscovered digital drawing through my new Wacom Cintiq 13 HD - a gem that seemed like only a dream, but somehow it's now in my hands.
In the beginning the process took me longer - more than 5 hours per illustration, but as I'm building confidence and technique my illustrations are getting better and faster to create.

The digital tablet
I am so happy - my dream of having a Wacom Cintiq tablet finally came true. From now on this blog will be more regularry updated simply because I will have the hardware needed to produce more digital fashion illustrations and with higher quality. Faster and easier!
Check this beautiful tablet here. Isn't it every illustrator's dream?

High heels fun
Okay, so a month later I'm starting with my task here- to learn how to create digital fashion illustrations. I found this old onk sketch of a high heel and I decided to give it a try. This is my first attempt to color something digitally and it made me so excited that I created a second version of it - with textured sort of snake skin surface.
I should color the rest of the shoes collection I have - it's fun!
